At “All My Children” we are committed to preparing young children for school and life readiness. Our safe, nurturing, eco-friendly learning environment and ethical character define our dedication to instilling within each child the skills necessary to continuously develop their own knowledge and their desire to establish a better world. Using The Creative Curriculum, Common Core standards, and Music, Movement, Drama, and Nature programs, we form the foundation of our learning-centered program.

Our philosophy is that each child is like a seed; the sun provides warmth, the rain provides water and the soil provides the nutrients to feed and nurture each seed, thereby cultivating the seed into its potential bloom, and we believe in providing the nourishing and responsive environment to cultivate fulfillment of each child’s individual qualities and abilities, and then marveling as they bloom! Our dedicated teachers, directors, and staff believe that children, their families, and society all benefit from a high quality early childhood program in conjunction with an eco-friendly surrounding, and that there is a critical link between a child’s early experiences and later successes in life.

We promote a life-long appreciation of learning through emphasis on the joys of discovery and reflection and the empowerment of choice, in order to raise the quality of education. Our motivated, inspirational teachers, who have been specially trained to teach an integrated curriculum, nurture an atmosphere where awareness of children’s environments and appreciation for the things around them are fostered. We incorporate “green” experiences, including an indoor and outdoor garden and child-engaging recycling program, into our curriculum, which is designed to encourage children to channel their energies in efficient, productive, and cooperative directions, as well as recognize their ability to positively impact the world around them. Our programs lead children toward developing their higher order thinking processes. This encourages each child to realize their unique potential and celebrate their individual power.

All My Children Daycare’s curriculum is full of play-driven, hands-on learning and innovative instruction. We offer programs for Infant, Toddler, Nursery, Pre-K, Early Learn, Special Education, and Universal Pre-K. Our programs are tailored to meet the needs of the children and communities we serve. We seek to challenge and cognitively engage our children, providing them with exciting learning opportunities throughout the day. At All My Children, we are committed to the continuous customization of performance standards within early childhood development and the on-going integration of multiple intelligences in all curriculum areas to address individual needs and talents. We encourage our teachers and staff in their continuous growth as learners through professional development programs and courses.

We know that children learn best through activities that capture their interests. We enrich our curriculum with computer workshops, a music and movement specialist, programs based on holidays, speakers that come on and off site, and trips to engaging places such as Green Meadow Farm, The Hall of Science, Long Island Children’s Museum and the firehouse, among others. Our large playground and movement classes provide an excellent environment to develop gross motor skills. We work together with parents and the community to encourage each child, as supportive partners in a culturally rich milieu. We foster parent involvement through various parent-child workshops and other parent-child activities throughout the year.

Our application of our mission has a demonstrated effect on our children’s rendering of self-awareness and a heightened sensitivity to being citizens in a culturally diverse world. Particularly, as the world is extended beyond natural borders to virtual ones, self-awareness must be linked to promoting leadership qualities, directed towards effective judgment of how to use the gift of one’s natural freedom to prepare for a better tomorrow. We envision a more free, safe, productive, and ethical character permeating the fabric of society – In our professional, eco-friendly and nurturing ‘home away from home’ we hope to raise the quality of education for children and families in our world, and improve the world we are delivering to our children.

Through an interdisciplinary curriculum, focusing on developmentally appropriate practices and world consciousness, to build skills and concepts, as well as continuously maintaining a close partnership with parents and community, the teachers will inspire, support, love and nurture each of ALL MY CHILDREN.
